The Delaplaine Visual Arts Center (Frederick, MD) came alive on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 as the 2016 Gallery Walk convened for the 6th Annual Scholarship Dinner of the IAD School Association, Inc. (USA). WOW! What a view!

Attendees were amused and encouraged as they walked through the beautifully decorated room looking at displays, perusing historic memorabilia, current publications, visuals, purchasing sale items, or trying to win a beautiful spa basket donated by Suds and Creams. A special and refreshing twist this year was the reflective moments of several former students, reminiscing and sharing about their time at Isaac A. David School (and its forerunner, the Paynesville Private School). In its 48 year history, the Isaac A. David, Sr. Memorial School has produced top-notch members of society, all over this world, who all credit the solid foundation received at their beloved foundational school. It was refreshing to see alumni ranging from the very first 6th grade graduating class (only 11 students) in 1971, to students who attended through the early 19990s. What was even more special was the reunion of some classmates who had not seen one another for 3

During courses of a scrumptious meal, guests were serenaded to inspiring music by Next Generation Volunteers: Lelai and Kumbah Givens, and Special Guest: Ms. Matu Saye: www.matusaye.com. Following inspiring words and updates on current activities of IADSMS from Co-Founder, Mrs. Christine T. Norman, three critical special projects were officially launched by the Association via Live Social Media: (a) Solar + Electric  (Liberia) Campaign; (b) Science Lab (Liberia) Campaign; (c) Technology Lab (Liberia) Campaign. To make donations to these campaigns, please visit www.gofundme.com and search for IADSMS.
